Quick answer

For Clash of Critters Raft Race, I save the reward screen for the final day, spend Rafts at a manageable multiplier, and choose Wish Boxes before Pinballs from reward chests. Then I keep useful general rewards for the next event instead of spending everything during the race.

Use every Raft before the countdown ends. Save the rewards you can carry forward, not the event currency that expires.

The version covered here runs for three days. Check your own countdown before following that schedule, especially around reset. The next event in this rotation is Zobo Shooter, which gives me a reason to leave with a reserve.

Check the Pinball machine before spending

My first mistake happened about two minutes after reset. I started spending while the Pinball machine still showed Pickaxes from the previous event. The Raft icon appeared later. I cannot count those early pulls as successful Raft farming, and I have no confirmed correction for them afterward.

Before a large batch, check the event item inside the machine. If you still see the previous item, give the transition time to finish and check again. A changed date on the calendar does not prove that every event screen has caught up.

This takes a few seconds. It matters more than choosing a perfect multiplier after you have already spent your Pinballs against the wrong event display.

I also check how much time remains and whether I can play on the final day. That second check changes the plan. Saving everything is a poor choice if work, sleep, or travel will keep you away when the race closes.

For the broader spending routine, the Pinball resource loop guide covers how I connect pulls to account progress.

Why I leave the reward screen closed until the last day

Teammates can advance far enough to unlock rewards along the route and the present rewards. Opening the event screen makes those rewards available to claim. That little reward indicator is tempting, especially when the rest of the account needs resources.

I prefer to leave it alone until the final day. This keeps the rewards out of my normal spending routine for most of the event. When I collect them, the next rotation is close enough that saving them feels easier.

The chest contents do not grow while I wait. I am simply making it easier to save what the team earns for the next event.

There is a sensible exception: I need Pinballs for a specific Gold Rush push that I can finish now. In that situation, taking useful rewards early can help more than holding them for a vague future plan. I want a concrete reason, such as a reachable reward, before changing the schedule.

If you already opened the screen, keep playing. You have not ruined the whole event. Save any general resources you still have and avoid spending them just because they arrived earlier than planned.

Choose a multiplier you can afford to miss with

I lean toward x20 or x50 rather than jumping straight to the highest setting. A big yellow result at a high multiplier looks excellent. Several blue results at that same setting can eat through the budget before the race feels as though it has started.

Lower settings spread a fixed supply across more attempts. That gives you more opportunities to see different results, provided the underlying odds stay the same. It does not establish that x20 has better odds or pays more per Raft than x50.

Here is the budget difference with an illustrative 1,000-Raft supply, assuming the displayed multiplier sets the cost per attempt:

Attempts with an illustrative 1,000-Raft budget
MultiplierAttemptsWhat I consider
x2050More individual attempts and more time to finish
x5020A quicker session with fewer attempts

Those are spending calculations, not predictions of distance or chest rewards. The game still decides the result of each attempt.

My choice depends partly on the clock. With plenty of time, I can use x20. With a larger balance and a shorter session, x50 is easier to finish. If the deadline is close, using the remaining Rafts matters more than insisting on the slowest setting.

What I avoid is raising the multiplier because the last few results were bad. A disappointing streak does not make the next attempt owe me a yellow result.

My chest reward priority

I choose Wish Boxes first, then Pinballs. After those, I compare Capsules and Bento Boxes against what my account needs. The small Raft option usually comes last for me.

Raft Race chest reward priority
RewardMy usual choice
Wish BoxesFirst choice when available
PinballsSecond choice, with the next event in mind
Capsules or Bento BoxesChoose according to the current account need
Extra RaftsUsually skip the small amount offered

The problem with taking a few more Rafts is that I give up a known alternative for more attempts in the same event. Those attempts can produce useful distance or disappointing results. I prefer the reward I already know I can use.

I reconsider when only a small amount of distance separates me from an especially useful reward before the event ends. Even then, I check the gap first. Being near a milestone is not the same as knowing the next roll will reach it.

Capsules and Bento Boxes do not need a rigid order for every account. If food is holding up an evolution, a Bento choice deserves a closer look. If another reward answers your current need better, take that. The evolution planning guide can help you identify that need before opening a choice chest.

Tatari selection will not fix a bad run

Pick a Tatari you like. In this Raft Race version, the selection does not change the reward strategy or provide a demonstrated scoring advantage.

I do not spend food on a different Tatari for this race. Your evolution projects can stay focused on the modes where combat strength matters.

There is also no steering input to master here. Zobos appear in inner tubes on the water, but the raft passes through them. You do not need to search for a hidden route around them or time a lane change.

I spend my time comparing chest choices and checking the deadline. There is no reason to turn a short event session into a search for racing controls that are not there.

Leave enough time to spend and collect

The final day is my preferred window, but the final minute is asking for trouble. A large balance at x20 takes time, and a slow connection can turn a quick visit into a missed deadline.

I use this order:

  1. Check the remaining time and make sure I can finish the session.
  2. Open the race and collect available team rewards.
  3. Spend the Rafts with a multiplier that fits the balance and time left.
  4. Check for rewards unlocked during those attempts.
  5. Confirm that no usable Rafts or claimable rewards remain before leaving.

Unused Rafts expire. I do not budget around a conversion payout because I have no confirmed amount for the fallback reward. Spending the event currency while it still works gives me control over that part of the result.

The team can earn collective rewards as it advances, so another player's spending can affect what becomes available. That does not give me a reason to chase their spending. I work with my own balance and collect what the team has unlocked.

Carry useful rewards into Zobo Shooter

Zobo Shooter follows Raft Race in the rotation described here. I want to arrive with Pinballs and other useful general rewards still available, rather than spend them immediately after claiming.

I check the next event's screen before committing that reserve. Event order and reward details can change between rotations, so the destination needs to match what the game shows. For planning that session, use the Zobo Shooter rewards guide.

My stopping point is simple: the Rafts are gone, the available chests are claimed, and the resources I intended to save are still in my account. I do not need one more lucky roll to call the race finished.

FAQ

Should I wait until the last day to open Raft Race?

I prefer the final day so I can collect rewards close to the next event. Open earlier if you need resources for a specific goal or cannot reliably return before the deadline.

Is x20 better than x50 in Raft Race?

x20 gives more attempts from the same budget, while x50 finishes the session faster. Neither setting has proven better reward odds per Raft here.

Which Raft Race chest rewards should I choose?

My usual order is Wish Boxes, then Pinballs, followed by Capsules or Bento Boxes according to account needs. I usually skip the small extra-Raft option.

Can I save Rafts for the next event?

No. Use Rafts before they expire. Save useful general rewards, such as Pinballs, for the next event instead.

Does my chosen Tatari affect Raft Race rewards?

The Tatari choice does not change the strategy in this version. Pick your favorite; you do not need a special evolution or steering technique.
