For a complete no-T4 lineup built around T3 Serrabloom, the wave 12 Worm teleport, Blitzmane knockback, and a six-second finish, use my no-T4 Serrabloom full-clear guide. This page keeps the broader Silversear timing and late-base-HP decisions.
Introduction
I can reach 900 or 950 in Horde Invasion and still watch the last stretch fall apart. The board looked strong enough. Then one boss spawned in the wrong lane, I moved too late, and a run that felt close never reached the 1,015 clear.
My fix was not another static formation. I started treating the final waves as three separate decisions: delay Silversear's attack boost until it is worth more, retreat from the Water Barrel Boss at wave 33, and spend base HP on bosses I cannot finish before time expires.
A full clear is never guaranteed. Food, stars, temporary levels, partner strength, boss lanes, and random targeting still matter.
If wave 34 still wipes the board outright, start with my Horde Invasion wave 34 survival guide. This plan begins after basic survival is reasonably stable.
Quick Answer
My 1,015 Horde Invasion plan has three parts:
- I hold Silversear away from enemies until both players have deployed their full teams. I save roughly 2,000 to 2,500 upgrade currency, raise the Fire Cat as high as practical, then allow it to finish the bounce cycle and apply Flameow: ATK Boost.
- At wave 33, I retreat from the Water Barrel Boss. Tideon applies Slow and Fragile while Lightning attackers focus the boss from long range.
- Near the last minute, I open a path for a boss that will not die in time. I accept the base HP loss and move more damage onto the Worm or another realistic kill.
The first trick improves the whole team's damage. The second preserves health. The third turns a doomed split into one finished target.
Why I Delay Silversear's Attack Boost
Silversear's Horde value is easy to waste. Its bouncing attack builds toward a maximum bounce state, then grants allies Flameow: ATK Boost. If I trigger that effect while Silversear is still temporary level 1, the team keeps the weaker level 1 value. Raising Silversear afterward does not upgrade the boost already applied.
The buff uses Silversear's base attributes at the moment it triggers. Permanent development matters, including stars and food. Temporary Horde levels also matter because each level raises the base attributes used for the calculation.
Extra attack buffs do not make Silversear pass a larger Flameow boost to everyone else. Ashlarva, Cheerspring, and Toucanzam can raise Silversear's own combat attack, but that added attack is not converted again into a stronger team boost.
I used to stack support around the Fire Cat before the trigger. It looked clever and achieved nothing. Better permanent development and a higher temporary Horde level are what raise Flameow's value.
My Silversear Timing Routine
I do not deploy Silversear and hope it behaves. I count the board.
My partner needs all 10 Tatari deployed. I deploy nine of mine and hold Silversear as the final slot. If I place it early, I keep dragging it behind strong lanes where enemies die before the cat can attack.
I wait until I have about 2,000 to 2,500 currency. Then I deploy Silversear, buy as many levels as I can, and aim for temporary level 5 or level 7. Only after that do I let it attack enough times to reach the maximum bounce and trigger Flameow.
The effect only reaches Tatari already on the field. If my partner has eight units deployed when it triggers, the last two do not receive the boost later. That is why I count all 20 slots instead of trusting a quick glance.
My checklist is short:
- Both teams have all intended Tatari on the field.
- Silversear has the highest affordable temporary level.
- I am ready to stop moving it and allow the bounce cycle.
- My partner knows not to hold two late units off the board.
If I cannot control the cat safely, I hold it as slot ten.
How I Survive the Wave 33 Water Barrel Boss
The Water Barrel Boss can shred all lanes once it gets close enough to use the barrel attack. I buy time by retreating instead of trying to tank the hit.
When it appears at wave 33, I pull nearby Tatari toward the back of the field. A longer approach delays its normal attacks and, in turn, delays the barrel cycle. Tideon stays in range to apply Slow and Fragile. I keep at least one developed Lightning DPS, usually Zapantler or Voltmare, focused on the boss.
Sonarbat can move to an outer position and still apply its wide Scouted and Bat: Fragile pressure. Rockong and other multi-lane attackers can help from neighboring lanes without standing directly in front of the boss.
Healing and attack support still need to reach the damage group. I create distance without breaking the damage chain.
When the boss falls to roughly 20 percent HP, I start rebuilding the normal formation. Waiting for the death animation is too slow. The next Worm can pull units forward immediately, so I want my lanes mostly restored before that happens.
When I Spend Base HP to Save the Clear
Horde gives the base 10 HP. An enemy that enters costs one HP, but it still counts toward the score. Late in the run, that makes base health a resource rather than a perfect-score decoration.
Around 57 seconds remaining, I check every active boss. If one has too much health to die before the timer, I open its lane and let it enter the base. Then my partner and I move damage toward the boss we can still kill.
I usually protect the Worm target because it can disrupt the formation. If a high-HP Fire boss will consume the timer, I spend one base HP on it and move Zapantler, Voltmare, Tideon, or another attacker onto the Worm.
This requires communication. Each player controls three lanes, but the boss that needs an open path can be on either side. We call the lane, move blockers away, and agree on the focus target. Two players making separate heroic decisions usually create two half-dead bosses. Very inspiring. Zero clear.
Mistakes That Cost Me the Last 15 Kills
Triggering Silversear at level 1. Later upgrades do not repair the weak team boost.
Buffing the Fire Cat before Flameow. Ashlarva, Cheerspring, and Toucanzam improve Silversear's own attack, not the base value passed to allies.
Forgetting late deployments. Tatari added after Flameow triggers miss the effect.
Standing in front of the Water Barrel Boss. I retreat, keep Tideon and Lightning damage active, then rebuild near 20 percent HP.
Protecting all 10 base HP while the timer dies. One deliberate leak can free enough damage to finish the Worm.
Opening a lane without telling my partner. A support unit can wander back into the path and restart the whole argument.
Final Take
My 1,015 attempts became more consistent when I stopped treating the last waves like the first 30. I delay Silversear until its boost uses a high temporary level, pull back from the wave 33 Barrel Boss, and spend base HP when one late target is clearly not dying.
None of that replaces progression. It does stop me from wasting the progression I already paid for.
FAQ
How do I reach 1,015 in Horde Invasion?
I use a late-game plan built around a high-level Silversear trigger, a full retreat from the wave 33 Water Barrel Boss, and deliberate open paths for bosses that cannot die before time expires. Both players must move and communicate.
When should I trigger Silversear's attack boost?
I wait until all intended Tatari are deployed and Silversear is temporary level 5 or 7 when possible. The Flameow boost uses Silversear's base attributes at trigger time, so an early level 1 trigger stays weak.
Do Ashlarva and Cheerspring make Silversear's team buff stronger?
No. Their attack boosts can improve Silversear's own damage, but they do not increase the base-attribute value that Flameow passes to the team.
How do I beat the Water Barrel Boss at wave 33?
I retreat the formation, use Tideon for Slow and Fragile, and focus the boss with long-range Lightning damage. I begin restoring the normal formation when the boss reaches about 20 percent HP.
Why should I let a boss enter the base?
An enemy that enters costs one of the base's 10 HP but still adds to the score. Near the end, I open a path for a boss I cannot kill and move that damage onto a target I can finish.
