Stuck at 1,012 Horde Kills? My No-T4 Serrabloom Fix

My Clash of Critters no-T4 Horde guide uses T3 Serrabloom, a wave 12 Worm teleport, Blitzmane roar, Sonarbat, and a final lane leak to reach 1,015.

Introduction

Getting 1,000 Horde Invasion kills feels great until the result stops at 1,012. Three enemies remain, the timer is gone, and the upgrade screen starts whispering that a T4 will fix everything.

I found a cheaper answer. This no-T4 formation adds T3 Serrabloom to the established Blitzmane and Sonarbat core, then uses the wave 12 Worm teleport to move the frontline closer to every later spawn. The final clear reached 1,015 with six seconds left.

Boss lanes change, both players must move together, and a bad Worm teleport ruins the setup. I treat 1,015 as a ceiling, not a copy-and-paste reward.

My quick answer

I use one Serrabloom on each side, keep Sonarbat and Blitzmane as the damage-and-knockback core, and support them with Ashlarva, Cheerspring, Sunfleur, Waveflutter, and Tideon.

The run has three moves that matter most:

  1. With about 10 seconds left in wave 12, I pull the front row back and remove Waveflutter so Sleep cannot cancel the Worm teleport.
  2. At wave 33, Blitzmane keeps Shocker Zobo away. For an edge spawn, the formation steps back before I swap Blitzmane with Ashlarva.
  3. During the final minute, I open one lane for bosses that will reach the base faster than I can kill them, then focus the remaining realistic target.

The low-investment proof I care about

The two accounts were around levels 800 and 824. Their Tatari food grades were mostly C and D, with no B-grade roster and no T4. One T2 Sonarbat produced about 269 million damage. The other reached about 320 million.

T3 Serrabloom is a real requirement for this version, and I prefer T3 Blitzmane for stronger Morale support. T3 Waveflutter gives the intended control setup. Ashlarva works at a lower form when its healing still reaches the front.

Why Serrabloom finds the missing kills

The late Worm is a Ground boss, so Serrabloom's Grass damage attacks the right problem. Its permanent T3 form also brings Fragile instead of leaving every application to Tideon.

Horde temporary levels make the Mantis attacks busier:

  • At Lv.3, normal attacks gain a chance to throw two extra Petal Blades.
  • At Lv.5, incoming healing triggers another blade.
  • At Lv.7, Serrabloom uses a large area attack that reaches the enemy front after the teleport.

Cheerspring, Ashlarva, and Sunfleur preserve HP while triggering extra Lv.5 attacks. Serrabloom keeps throwing blades as Sonarbat marks targets and Blitzmane pushes enemies away.

Serrabloom ranked among the strongest damage jobs. That Worm pressure separates this plan from my earlier no-T4 boss-focus build, which uses Poakie, Budboo, and a mobile squad.

My wave 12 Worm teleport setup

The teleport decides whether Serrabloom reaches later spawn points. I prepare with about 10 seconds left in wave 12.

I pull every frontliner back and move the second row forward. Then I take Waveflutter out of the active control cluster.

Sleep creates a specific failure: a sleeping Worm does not teleport my frontline. Without the pull, Serrabloom stays one tile farther back and its Lv.7 area misses part of the spawn zone.

I leave the Worm awake for the pull, then return Waveflutter. The front row now stands deeper, Serrabloom covers the spawn area, and Sonarbat gets more room.

Before the pull, I check:

  • Frontliners are back and Waveflutter is outside the trigger area.
  • No Sleep icon is active on the Worm.
  • The forward row has open tiles for the teleport.
  • Waveflutter returns after the pull.

I practice this before judging Serrabloom. Missing the teleport and blaming the Mantis is like unplugging the lamp and reviewing the bulb.

How I handle the wave 33 Shocker Zobo

Shocker Zobo becomes dangerous after reaching the formation. Blitzmane's Thunder Roar keeps it away, but the spawn lane changes my response.

For lanes 2 through 5, I keep the formation in place. Blitzmane already covers the angle and knocks the target back.

For lane 1 or 6, I move everyone back one row so the edge pieces return to the movable grid. I swap Blitzmane with Ashlarva, point Thunder Roar at Shocker, and rebuild any support links broken by the shift.

I move before the first area hit. Waiting until half the board is dead is paperwork.

My Candy and temporary-level budget

My practical priority is:

  1. Raise Cheerspring and the survival core enough to hold the board.
  2. Fund Sonarbat, Blitzmane, and Serrabloom, because they create the damage, knockback, and Worm finish.
  3. Reach Serrabloom's important Lv.7 area attack.
  4. Keep Waveflutter at Lv.1 or Lv.3 when the frontline needs repeat revives.
  5. Spend the remaining Candy on the flex support that fixes the current loss.

Waveflutter's permanent T3 skill still matters at a low temporary level. I refuse to admire a maxed butterfly beside three dead frontliners.

For Silversear, I use the delayed buff routine in my Horde 1,015 clear plan. I trigger it after the intended board is deployed and the Fire Cat has an affordable level.

The final-minute lane leak

The last three kills are often a targeting problem. If two high-HP bosses remain in one lane with few small enemies, I stop feeding that lane.

I open the path and let those bosses enter. Each costs base HP but counts toward 1,015. Both players move damage onto a boss that can still die.

The completed clear opened lane 1. Two bosses entered, Serrabloom finished the Worm elsewhere, and the final enemy crossed with six seconds left.

I leak only when the base has enough HP and both players agree. Replacing blockers in the open lane ruins the trade.

My flex slots

I choose flex units by the first failure:

  • Sealoon: My safest default for Weaken and knockback when the team cannot tank Shocker or Yeti pressure.
  • Zapantler: Piercing damage for an account that already invested in the Deer line.
  • Donscarab: Grouping and control when ordinary enemies reach the formation too quickly.
  • Hothog: Healing, shield support, and Stun when survival breaks before boss damage matters.

I do not replace Serrabloom, Sonarbat, or Blitzmane to fit every favorite unit. The flex slot exists so the core can keep doing its job.

Mistakes that stop the clear

  • Using Stormlion and accidentally turning a no-T4 plan into a T4 plan. Blitzmane is the Lion here.
  • Bringing Serrabloom below permanent T3 and missing the intended formation job.
  • Letting Waveflutter Sleep the wave 12 Worm before the teleport.
  • Leaving the formation forward when Shocker spawns on lane 1 or 6.
  • Maxing temporary Waveflutter while Candy-starved frontliners stay dead.
  • Splitting damage across every late boss instead of choosing one killable target.
  • Opening a base lane without telling the second player.
  • Treating one 1,015 result as an automatic score on every boss pattern.

Final verdict

This no-T4 formation wins through reach. Serrabloom attacks the Ground Worm, the wave 12 teleport moves its Lv.7 area closer, Blitzmane controls Shocker, and Sonarbat supplies huge damage on a modest account.

The last step is discipline. I save Candy for revives, move both sides before edge pressure lands, and spend base HP on bosses that are wasting the clock. Three missing kills do not always require another evolution. Sometimes they require moving the butterfly out of the way for five seconds.

FAQ

Can I reach 1,015 Horde kills without a T4 Tatari?

Yes. This Blitzmane, Sonarbat, and T3 Serrabloom formation reached 1,015 with six seconds left on accounts around levels 800 and 824 with mostly C- and D-grade Tatari food.

Which Tatari must be T3 for this formation?

I require T3 Serrabloom for the Mantis job and prefer T3 Blitzmane for Thunder Roar support. T3 Waveflutter supplies the intended control setup. Ashlarva can work below its stronger form when its healing range still covers the frontline.

Why do I remove Waveflutter before the Worm teleport?

Sleep stops the Worm from teleporting the frontline. I move Waveflutter out near the end of wave 12, let the Worm pull the formation forward, then place Waveflutter back.

What temporary level does Serrabloom need?

I aim for Lv.7. Lv.3 adds extra Petal Blade chances, Lv.5 turns healing into more blades, and Lv.7 supplies the large area attack that reaches the late spawn zone.

How do I counter Shocker Zobo at wave 33?

Blitzmane uses Thunder Roar to knock it back. For a lane 1 or lane 6 spawn, I move the formation back one row and swap Blitzmane with Ashlarva so the roar reaches the edge.

Why should I let a late boss enter the base?

A boss entering the base costs one HP but still counts toward the score. I open a lane for targets that will not die in time, then move both players' damage onto a boss that can still be finished.
